The inspiration for this design was an old friend of Charles and Ray Eames, film director Billy Wilder, who was looking for a sun lounger that would allow him to relax and unwind for brief moments. Vitra offers a 30-year warranty on the Soft Pad Chaise. Material:
- Padding/upholstery: leather upholstery, six fixed cushions and two loose ones.
- Base: moulded aluminium, chocolate powder coating (thin). Upholstery:
- L20 Leather: Durable cowhide leather with a uniform and distinctive grain.
