The story of this design and furniture icon starts in 1938, when Antonio Bonet, an architect and town planner along with the architects Juanito Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy designed the BKF chair.

It is a piece that remains in one of the most important museums of contemporary art in the world, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) New York thanks to Edgar Kaufman who also purchased a second unit for the "House of the Waterfall" designed by the architect Frank Lloyd.
It also appears in the permanent collection of the Museu del Disseny in the city of Barcelona.
