George Nelson's well-known wall clocks are an expression of the changes in the American mood in the middle of the century. With the aim of bringing modern design closer to American homes, George Nelson designed a range of all objects, including a wide selection of wall clocks. George Nelson was an American architect, designer and writer who had a great impact on the world of design during the 1950s. He is known for his work at the firm Herman Miller, where he designed some of the most iconic furniture of the era, such as the Pretzel chair, the Marshmallow chair or the Ball wall clock. He also excelled in interior design and architecture, working on renowned projects such as the Life magazine office and the Good Design exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. George Nelson is also a critical thinker and prolific writer on design and architecture. His writings, such as his book How to See and his column in Architectural Forum magazine, were influential in educating a generation of designers and architects. George Nelson's contribution to the world of design and architecture cannot be underestimated. His legacy remains relevant and admired for its innovation and timeless beauty.
