The spectacular Saffo lamp was designed in 1966 by Italian architect, sculptor and designer Angelo Mangiarotti and has been a coveted vintage object ever since. Its extraordinary design is testament to his training as a sculptor and shows his unique approach to combining forms and materials.

Saffo is made of blown glass and diffuses a soft light that enhances its many material characteristics.

The white glass at the bottom elegantly conceals the light source, and as the mushroom begins to form, the white glass becomes transparent and allows light to shine through. The sculptural qualities of the Saffo Lamp make it a spectacular design object, whether switched o
