The Nelson Lantern Bubble pendant lamp has a contemporary shape of a simple and elegant traditional lantern fills any interior with a warm, diffused light. George Nelson was inspired by a set of Swedish pendant lamps covered in silk when he originally designed the Bubble Lamp series in 1952.

George Nelson was an American architect, designer and writer who had a great impact on the world of design during the 1950s. He is known for his work at the firm Herman Miller, where he designed some of the most iconic furniture of the era, such as the Pretzel chair, the Marshmallow chair or the Ball wall clock. He also excelled in interior design and architecture, working on renowned projects such as the Life magazine office and the Good Design exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. George Nelson is also a critical thinker and prolific writer on design and architecture.
