"Getting more of the best for more people and for less" with these words, Charles and Ray Eames described one of their main goals as furniture designers. None of his works came as close to this ideal as the Plastic Chair. For years, the two worked on the idea of a one-piece seat shell molded to fit the contours of the human body. Material:
- Seat shell: recycled polypropylene, dyed, 100% recyclable.
- Base: non-stackable base made of wood in various shades of maple or ash in honey colour, stained or lacquered finish. Crossed steel reinforcements in basic dark. - Note: Due to the composition of the recycled material, the colors of the seat shell feature very subtle specks of pigment.
